How often should cashmere sweaters be washed?
The frequency of washing cashmere sweaters mainly depends on their use and the degree of stains. Generally speaking, cashmere sweaters are recommended to be washed 1-2 times a month, or 1 to 2 times a quarter. If they are worn close to the body or have obvious stains, the number of washings can be appropriately increased. It is recommended to wash them once a week. However, it should be noted that cashmere sweaters should not be washed frequently, as frequent washing will shorten the life of cashmere sweaters.
When washing cashmere sweaters, the following points should also be noted:
Washing method: Dry cleaning is the most recommended method. If you choose to wash by hand, you should use a special detergent for cashmere sweaters or a neutral detergent, and keep the water temperature below 30 degrees or 35 degrees to avoid high temperatures causing the cashmere sweater to shrink. When washing, press or knead gently to avoid rubbing vigorously.
Drying tips: After washing, gently squeeze to remove excess water, then lay flat on a breathable clothes drying basket for ventilation and shade drying to avoid fading caused by direct sunlight. Do not hang to dry to avoid deformation.
Daily care: It is recommended not to wear cashmere sweaters for more than 3 consecutive days to allow time for the elastic fibers to recover. When storing, make sure the cashmere sweaters have been cleaned and dried, folded and bagged flat to avoid deformation caused by hanging, and add an appropriate amount of insect repellent.
